CHEMFOR Introduces Its Shear Mixing System for Drilling Fluid Applications

CHEMFOR expands its equipment portfolio with the CHEMFOR Shear Mixing System, a skid-mounted package designed for fast and efficient solids induction, wetting and homogeneous mixing of drilling fluid additives.

Engineered for demanding operations, the system combines high-capacity mixing with a flexible configuration that can be adapted to specific operating conditions, site constraints and project requirements.

Efficient drilling fluid preparation
The CHEMFOR Shear Mixing System supports a wide range of fluid preparation and conditioning applications, including:
  • Drilling fluid preparation
  • Bentonite hydration
  • Barite weighting
  • Chemical additive mixing
  • Fluid circulation and conditioning
  • Industrial fluid handling

The system uses the pressure energy of the liquid feed to create a low-pressure vacuum zone, enabling efficient powder induction and pre-wetting before mixing. This helps achieve fast and homogeneous dispersion while reducing fisheyes and clogging when handling polymers and other challenging materials.

Flexible configuration
The system can be configured around the required pump, motor, controls, instrumentation and skid layout, allowing the package to be adapted to end-user and project-specific requirements.
Manufacturing and quality documentation can be supplied with the equipment, including applicable component conformity and material documentation.
Sale | Rental | Custom Builds
The CHEMFOR Shear Mixing System is available through three commercial options:

SALE | RENTAL | CUSTOM BUILDS
Customers can select a dedicated package for permanent operations, a rental solution for specific projects or campaigns, or a customized configuration developed around their operational requirements.
